Tension Rising's new single, "All Seeing Eye" has been released only a few months after their critically acclaimed album, Penumbra. Despite working separately from home this past year, the band has stayed very productive with creating new music.
Chris Garrigan says: “The song is based around a two pronged approach of how our world currently is when it comes to technology and platforms such as social media. While the conveniences and enjoyment it all provides us are incredible, it comes with a price. A price being our loss on communication among each other. It’s as if over time we’ve lost this sense of humanity with how we interact with one another. That being said, the use of all this technology has a dark side as well. Notice how everything is monitored or tracked nowadays? All of our posts, calls, locations, engagements, etc. are all watched by programs and even the very social media platforms we were just discussing. This idea gave way to the portrayal of an “all seeing eye” that watches us and everything we do. All of these things inspired this track to create some imagery as to a wild interpretation of our technological world.”
Tension Rising is back from a 5 year hiatus with a new lineup, new sound, and a new album. Penumbra is a deep dive into a heavier, darker sound, with lyrics inspired by the crazy state of the world right now, and how it can affect each of us.
The album features singles, Doomsayer, Find The Betrayer, and No More Goodbyes.
